Craft Design and Development

Craft development and promotion is an important goal of DakshinaChitra. The center has two workshops, one for lathe-turned softstone and wood and one for pottery. DakshinaChitra has had successful design development programs for both these units. DakshinaChitra has conducted workshops on production, accounting and credit, quality control, new tools, packaging, design and marketing for craftspeople.
