Materials and Techniques used in Traditional Architecture

Madras Craft Foundation is organising a four-day residential workshop on "Materials and Techniques used in Traditional Architecture" - the second one in the series titled "Spirit of Vernacular Architecture of South India" at DakshinaChitra, Mutukadu, East Coast Road, Chennai from 3rd to 6th November, 2005 by our committed and experienced team of architects. The course director is Mr. Benny Kuriakose.

The workshop is an in depth study of materials and techniques used in traditional architecture, combined with innovative solutions that are pertinent to India and which may create trends internationally in the future. The workshop will also include practical sessions in which participants will have hands-on experience on research, fieldwork and construction activities.

Course Fee: Rs. 1,500/- inclusive of materials, food and accommodation.
