DakshinaChitra has been in
a state of vigorous growth in all avenues of its operation.
All along, the need for attaining self sufficiency has
been uppermost in our minds.
At present our fund raising activities and revenue collections
at DakshinaChitra through our
events and activities cover 55% of our operating and program
expenses. The rest are met by grants and donations - a
dependency we want to change !

Your donation will be invested long-term and it will provide
on-going support to DakshinaChitra
and ensure a future service to the public year after year.
You could adopt one of the four critical areas of our functioning
wherein you would like your contribution to be used.
We will keep you informed on the progress and programs in
the area of your choice.
Adopt a Craft: To develop
and sustain a base of resource people and programs associated
with crafts and provide for marketing, production, product
development, design and packaging.
Adopt a House: To help in
the maintenance and up-keep of each heritage house represented
at DakshinaChitra and to provide
funding for activities, exhibitions and other interactive
programs in each house.
Adopt a Folk Performing Art Form:
To provide opportunities to traditional folk performers for
programs, workshops, training and documentation so as to prevent
many of the performing art forms from slowly vanishing.
Adopt Educational Outreach:
To help us continue to provide our educational services to
village and corporation school children free of cost ( both
rural and urban) and to conduct our regular school based programs
that attract more than 17,000 children a year.
