Short-term Internships

DakshinaChitra offers internships and volunteering opportunities to students both indian and foreign and interested individuals within various departments at the museum. Internships are a valuable way to engage, learn and contribute to the vision and mission of DakshinaChitra. We are looking for motivated, pro- active individuals with an interest in a dialog about culture, be it traditional, folk, craft or the contemporary, in South India. 

We offer short term internships throughout the year, for a minimum period of 2 weeks to 3 months. During this period, interns will have the opportunity to work in one or more departments, based on their interest and abilities. Please note that this is an unpaid internship. Candidates from outside Chennai are required to arrange their own accommodation. However, interns may avail of the staff bus pick up and drop off facility along its designated route between Besant Nagar and the Museum.
